Coffee Filter Butterflies
Watch your kids' creativity emerge and flutter with these bright and easy-to-make butterflies, made from coffee filters and a few craft basics.

- Time:an hour + drying time
1Place a small amount of liquid watercolors in small cups and dilute each color with water.
2Paint coffee filters with the diluted watercolors and let them dry.
3Fold chenille stem in half and place the coffee filter between the two halves. Twist together about 2” from the folded end. Arrange the filter to look like wings and press the stem together over the filter.
4Glue three pom poms on top of the stem between the wings and let the glue set.
5Curl the ends of the stem for the antennae.
