Coffee Filter Butterflies

Project Details

Project Instructions

  • 1
    Place a small amount of liquid watercolors in small cups and dilute each color with water.
  • 2
    Paint coffee filters with the diluted watercolors and let them dry.
  • 3
    Fold chenille stem in half and place the coffee filter between the two halves. Twist together about 2” from the folded end. Arrange the filter to look like wings and press the stem together over the filter.

    Glue three pom poms on top of the stem between the wings and let the glue set.
  • 5
    Curl the ends of the stem for the antennae.
