Teacher Appreciation Apple Glass Pencil Jar

Project Instructions

    Squeeze a tablespoon of each shade of Red paint into the glass jar. Add three drops of water and carefully swirl around. Turn the jar upside down on paper towels and let the excess drain out. Move frequently the first half hour. Replace the paper towels with wax paper and allow the jar to drain overnight. Be sure all areas inside are covered.

    Glue the end of jute to the top edge of the jar lid ring, without the insert. Continue to wrap jute around the ring until it’s covered. Glue to secure.

    Cut out 2 felt leaves and glue a 6" piece of the green wire in the center between each leaf. Glue to the top edge of the jute ring and screw ring on dried jar.
