Crayola Lighthouse on the Boulders
Shine a beacon on lighthouses when you make the awesome Crayola Lighthouse on the Boulders! Feel free to look on the website or in a book for additional lighthouse pictures, then change the colors listed under supplies to match!
- Time:1 hour
1Model Magic dries to the touch overnight and dries completely in 2 to 3 days. Project time does not include neither this drying time, nor the drying time for the paint or the glue.
2Make a collection of various-size boulders with White. Press the boulders together to form a large base. Flatten a section at one end with your fingers to create a platform for your lighthouse.
3Cover your art area with recycled newspaper. Mix a little White and Black paint to get the color Gray that you wish your boulders to be. Paint the boulders this Gray color.
4Use a recycled cardboard tube to make your lighthouse. Cut White construction paper to fit the bottom two-thirds of the tube. Cut Red construction paper for the top third of the tube.
5Use markers to add luminous details such as windows, doors and the lighthouse's lamp. Glue the paper to the tube with a glue stick.
6Press the lighthouse into the boulder base. Secure it with the bottled glue. Dry.
