Nicole Crafts Butterfly
Children love to chase and catch butterflies. Make this project with them to ensure they catch one this year.
- Time:1 hour
1Project time does not include drying time for the paint. If only making one of the butterflies, adjust your supplies accordingly.
2Glitter Inlay Butterfly (larger image): Paint inside sections School Bus and Iris. Paint outside edges Black Tie. If needed, use picture as a guide. Let dry. Glue five 1 inch Black pom poms down the center of wood butterfly for body. Cut a 4 inch piece of Yellow chenille stem. Fold in half and glue folded end into top pom pom for antennae. Glue on wiggle eyes. Glue Yellow and Purple rhinestones to wood wings as shown. Glue a Purple rhinestone to the ends of antennae.
3Wood Butterfly (smaller image): Paint inside of butterfly Cadmium Yellow and outside Purple Cow. Let dry. Glue six Black pom poms down the center of the wood butterfly for body. Cut a six inch piece of Pink chenille stem. Fold in half and hot glue folded end into pom pom for antennae. Glue rhinestones onto wings as shown or as desired. Glue on wiggle eyes.
