Nicole™ Crafts Back to School Glass Block

Design custom glass blocks with vinyl and Cricut®. This Back To School Block can be a light, container or a décor piece in your classroom. The possibilities are endless!

Project Instructions

    Cut vinyl to 12 inch x 12 inch size and place on Cricut Cutting Mat.

    Set up Back to School image from Autumn Celebrations cartridge to 7 inch. Cut out with 5 pressure and 4 speed.

    Place block on back of paper and trace shape. Cut out.
  • 4
    Decoupage paper onto back of Glass Block (make sure you place printed side facing in and right side up) by painting surface and paper with Mod Podge. Place onto glass block, press from center out to remove any air bubbles.

    When it has slightly dried, use fine grit sand paper to sand edges of paper down to edge of glass (will make for a better fit on the block. Mod Podge back of paper, especially around the edges to seal paper to block.

    Once dry, turn over and begin peeling back top of vinyl cut out. Slowly unpeel and place on center of block. Add vinyl words, following same instructions.

    Option: add in a string of lights and use as a fun night light, or as a bank to save up for a fun craft project!
