Tie Dye Stretch Band Badge Lanyard

Show off your school or work id with colorful tie dye Stretch Bands...everyone will want one. You can also make them with your school or team colors!

Project Instructions

    Separate Tie Dye bands into the different color combinations.

    Following the instructions for the Fish Tail pattern, choose one of the band colors and twist the first band into a figure eight onto the pegs; add two additional bands (only twist the first band). Remove the bottom band from the pegs so it is resting on the other two bands. Add another band. Repeat until you have a set of 30 fish tail bands on the jig or loom.

    Continue adding each set of colors with 30 band sets. For the sample shown, 8 sets of 30 were used

    When you get to the end of the lanyard, the first band on the lanyard onto a crochet hook; you will have two bands on the hook.

    Run the hook through the 4 bands that are on the pegs of the jig or loom. Move the first two bands that you had placed on the hook over the 4 bands. This will put the two ends of the lanyard together. You should now have just 4 bands on the hook.

    Carefully remove the 4 bands and put them through the opening of the swivel end of the badge clip. Stretch the bands over the badge clip so that it locks the bands in place.

    Add ID badge and you're ready to go!
