Project Instructions

  • 1
Cut chosen cardstock into 2-1/2” squares. Double sided printed cardstock is ideal as you can “double” the look of the flowers by switching which side to curl the paper.
  • 2
Place 2 flower dies face up on white cutting base (large sizes were used, but it can be switched up by using the various sizes). Place purple cutting pad on top and run through Cuttlebug. Repeat until you have about 24 flowers and 9-12 leaves.
  • 3
With slotted tool place side of paper you want for inside of rose face up and starting at outside end of coil, begin coiling around tool. Remove from tool. Repeat for all flowers.
  • 4
Pick up flower and turn upside down. You’ll see that the flower has a “flap” that will create the base for the flower. You can tighten up or let flower stay loose and place a small amount of Glossy Accents where the paper is coiled and press down flap. Hold onto the flower for a few seconds so that the flap starts to set. Put aside. Complete all flowers and while flowers are setting work on wreath.
  • 5
Think of placement of the ribbon with the numbers on a clock. Starting at 5:00 begin to wrap with burlap ribbon, working up toward 1:00. You can either glue the end down or slit ribbon down about 5 inches, wrap on either side of the wreath to the top and tie a knot and trim.
  • 6
Cut an approximate 12-15” length of ribbon. Cut a slit down the center, leaving about ¾-1” uncut.
  • 7
Slide the ribbon under the knot on the top of the wreath and tie into a bow.
  • 8
Once flowers have set, use tweezers to bend back some of the petals to create a more realistic look. Don’t over bend or the paper may begin to rip. Add a slight bend or curl to the leaves. You can also use your fingers to bend back.
  • 9
Starting around the bow, use hot glue gun to place flowers in place along the top and along the curve of the wreath.
  • 10
Once flowers are in place, use a dab of glue on the ends of the leaves and place in with the flowers at different spots.
  • 11
Hang with additional burlap ribbon or on a hook. Change up the papers to create a wreath for different times of year.
