Red Heart® Super Saver® Friendly Snake

Colorful knit stripes are a sure sign the Red Heart® Super Saver® Friendly Snake is also a playful one. For a smoother snake skin, stuff a knee-high stocking and then insert it into the snake. Consider making the entire safari of animals available on A.C. Moore's website!

Use a gauge of 18 sts and 34 rows in Stockinette stitch (about 4 inch) to knit this snake that measures, if stuffed, approximately 5-1/2 inch in circumference and 36 inch long. If the needles listed under supplies do not work, use the sizes that allows you to obtain the required gauge. Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere. Special abbreviations: cm - centimeter mm - millimeter knit increase - knit into the front and the back of the next stitch (1 stitch increase) Notes: Stuff body components firmly with poly-fil as they are worked. Snake Body is worked by following the color sequence indicated. Optional knee-high stocking may be stuffed with fiberfill and inserted into piece to give finished piece a smoother appearance.
