Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes® Sequoia ShrugBack to category
The blending of colors and wonderful texture of Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes® Yarn makes it perfect for projects such as the Sequoia Shrug.
1Use a gauge of 12 sc + 16 rows to crochet a shrug that is about 42 inch x 28 inch (106-1/2 cm x 71 cm). Remember to check your gauge. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 inch (10 cm) square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if it takes you more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. Download the full template for the pattern for this project.
2Notes: Large hook is used to create an open fabric that will easily stretch to fit a range of sizes.
3Shrug Ch 127. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 126 sts at the end of this row. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, working in back loops only, sc in each sc across. Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 28 inch (71 cm) from beginning. Fasten off.
4Finishing Fold piece in half to measure 21 inch x 28 inch (53-1/2 x 71 cm). Place markers on each of the 21 inch (53-1/2 cm) sides, 7 inch (18 cm) below fold for armholes. Seam sides from markers down to lower edge. Weave in ends.
