- Time:3+ hours
1Use a gauge of 6 sts (5 inch); 6 rows (9 inch) in pattern (4 strands held together) to crochet a throw that measures about 48 inch x 59 inch. If you cannot obtain the required gauge, switch to a different crochet hook.
2Special Stitch v-st = v Stitch (double crochet, chain 1, double crochet) in indicated st or space.
3Note: Hold one strand of each of 4 colors together as one throughout.
4Blanket Ch 60. Row 1 (Wrong Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across; turn 58 sts. Rows 2 and 3: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc and in each dc across, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Row 4: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, skip next dc; v-st in next dc; * skip next 2 dc, v-st in next dc; repeat from * to last 3 sts; skip next dc, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Rows 5 and 6: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, skip next dc, v-st in next ch-1 sp, * skip next 2 dc, v-st in next ch-1 sp; repeat from * to last 3 sts; skip next dc, dc in next dc, dc in top of ch-3; turn. Row 7: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next 2 dc, * dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 2 dc; repeat from * to last st; dc in top of ch-3; turn. Repeat Rows 2-7 five times, repeat Rows 2 and 3 again. Turn and, with right side facing, work 1 round sc evenly around entire outer edge, taking care to keep work flat; join with a slip st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
