1Use a gauge of 22 sts and 32 rows (4 inch) in Garter St to knit a tank that measures approximately 34 (38, 42, 46 and 50) inch across the bust and 22 (22-1/2, 23-1/2, 24 and 25) inch in length. Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. Save time, check your gauge. If the needles listed under supplies do not work, use the size that allows you to obtain the required gauge. Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere. Special Stitch: Agave Stitch (multiple of 19 sts): Row 1 (RS): P5, k4, yo, k3, ssk, p5. Row 2 (WS): K5, p9, k5. Row 3: P4, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, to, k3, ssk, p4. Row 4: K4, p11, k4. Row 5: P3, k2tog, [k3, yo] twice, k3, ssk, p3. Row 6: K3, p13, k3. Row 7: P2, k2tog, k3, yo, k5, yo, k3, ssk, p2. Row 8: K2, p15, k2. Row 9: P1, k2tog, k3, yo, k7, yo, k3, ssk, p1. Row 10: K1, p17, k1. Rep Rows 1-10 for patt. Note: You will need 3 skeins of Lavender to make this Tank in the 34 and 38 inch bust size; 4 skeins to make this Tank in the 42 and 46 inch bust size and 5 skeins to make this Tank in the 50 inch bust size.
2Front & Back (make 2): Cast on 112 (125, 135, 148, 160) sts. Row 1 (WS): K18 (23, 28, 33, 39), pm, k19, pm, k38 (41, 41, 44, 44), pm, k19 sts, pm, knit to end of row. Establish Pattern: Work garter st to first marker, Agave Stitch to next M beg with Row 1 of patt, garter to next M, Agave to next M beg with Row 1 of patt, Garter to end of row. Work as established until Piece measures 14 (14-1/2, 15-1/2, 16, 17) inch from cast-on edge.
3Shape Neck: Next Row (RS): Work in patt to 2nd marker, k9 (10, 10, 11, 11), bind off 20 (21, 21, 22, 22) sts, work in patt to end of row. Remainder of Pieces will be worked separately.
4Right Piece: Next row and all WS rows: Work in patt as established. Dec Row (RS): K2tog, work to end of row as established. Rep last 2 rows 8 (9, 9, 10, 10) more times. Continue working evenly until Front measures 7 (7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2, 9) inch from beginning of Neck Shaping. Bind off all sts.
5Left Piece: Attach yarn at neck edge. Next row (and all WS rows): Work in patt as established. Dec Row (RS): Work to last 2 sts as established, ssk. Rep last 2 rows 8 (9, 9, 10, 10) more times. Continue working evenly until Front measures 7 (7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2, 9) inch from beginning of Neck Shaping. Bind off all sts.
6Finishing: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side seams leaving 7 (7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2, 9) inch open for armholes. Weave in all ends. Block gently.
