1Use a gauge of 9 sts and 18 rows (4 inch) in garter stitch to knit a blanket that measures approximately 30 inch. Remember to check your gauge. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you less stitches and rows to make a 4 inch square, try using a smaller size needle; if it takes you more stitches and rows, try a larger size needle Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere.
•There is not RS or WS. Blanket is reversible.
•Note that the hood on that Blanket is a triangle piece that gets sewn in place onto the corner of the blanket (laying the triangle in place over the blanket corner). So the triangle is the front of the hood and the blanket acts as the back of the hood.
