- Time:2 hours
1Use a gauge of 7 chain (about 4 inch) to crochet this capelet that measures approximately 22 inch in circumference. Save time, check your gauge. If the hook listed under supplies does not work, use the size that allows you to obtain the required gauge.
2Capelet: Cut 3, 60 inch Strips of Deep Blue (or desired color). Open up the Strips. Lay the First Strip in front of you with fur side closest. Lay out the Second Strip on top of the First Strip, so the laddered edge furthest from the fur edge of the Second Strip is laying on top of the ladder closest to the fur edge of the First Strip. Beginning at the right hand edge, insert crochet hook through both ladders. Slip stitch Strips together through ladder along entire length of pieces. When you reach the end, pull the edge of the Strip through the loop on hook to fasten off. Slip stitch Third Length to bottom of Second Length in the same manner.
3Finishing: Fold under edges at each end of cowl. Sew down edges with sewing needle and thread Weave 1 yard of Royal Blue Ribbon through holes along top edge of First Strip. To wear place Capelet around neck and tie Ribbon in a bow.
