FloraCraft® Glittered Bats
Give your friends, family and trick-or-treaters something to go batty about this Halloween by creating FloraCraft® Glittered Bats.
- Time:1 hour
1Project time does not include drying time.
2Trace the bat's wings from the template onto the Black poster board and cut out. Make sure the bat's wings are about 10 inch long. Run a bead of tacky glue along the outside edge of the wings and cover with Black glitter. Let dry.
3Glue the narrow end of the 3 inch egg to the 2 inch ball to create the bats body and head. Press the two pieces together firmly to create a flat spot where they meet. Insert a toothpick between the parts before gluing together for a more secure hold. Paint the foam Lamp (Ebony) Black. While the paint is still wet sprinkle with glitter. The paint will secure the glitter in place as it dries.
4Use the edge of a ruler to create a small groove into the sides of the bat. Glue the wings into the grooves.
5Fold small pointed ears from squares of Midnight Madness duck tape. Glue the ears to the bats head. Tie monofilament line around the head of a pin and pin it to the back of the bat to hang.
