Lighted Halloween Monster Tree

Halloween décor doesn’t have to be frightening. Just grab a wood Christmas tree, spooky paint, wiggly eyes, and a few basic craft supplies and make a festive monster mash-up.

Project Instructions

    Paint entire wood tree purple and let dry. Print and cut out the project template, and then trace and cut the template out of foam pieces. Set the foam pieces aside.

    Use a pencil to draw in the mouth, belly, and feet. Then, paint in using lavender. Use the green paint for spots in different shapes and sizes.

    Use a liner brush to paint lines on the foam horns and attach the horns, from the back, on each side. Attach the teeth to the mouth with hot glue and attach the wiggle eye to the center of the head.

    Carefully insert lights, from the back, through the openings in the wood.
