Nicole Crafts Pom Poms, foam and other supplies are used to make one of the most popular animals surrounding Halloween. Stick the finished project along with the Witch, Halloween Tree and Halloween Mummy Clothespins into Styrofoam covered with Reindeer or Spanish Moss, or perhaps a Light Brown paint, to create a frightfully awesome Halloween centerpiece!

Project Instructions

1Paint wood clothespin Ebony Black. When dry, cover with Mod Podge.

2Following side view diagram, glue pompoms to side of clothespin.

3Following front view diagram, glue pompoms to front of cat. Glue eyes to face before gluing on face pompoms.

4Glue purple pompom to face for nose.

5Cut six 3 inch pieces of purple wire. Glue three into each large pompom on face for whiskers. Bend wire at different spots so they look crooked.

6Cut six 1 inch pieces of 3mm white chenille stem. Bend slightly and glue into small pompoms on back feet for claws. Repeat for front claws, making the pieces 3/8 inch long.

7Cut two small fangs from white foam. Glue to face as shown.

8Wrap two 12mm black chenille stems together. Glue one end to back of clothespin for tail. Curl tail to side.

9Tie orange ribbon around neck and tie a bow.
