Nicole Crafts Thanksgiving Turkey Clothespin
Most would agree: a Thanksgiving decoration just isn't complete without a turkey. When you are done making this project, consider making the Pilgrim Girl and Pilgrim Boy Clothespins for a well-rounded holiday scene.
1Paint clothespin Milk Chocolate. When dry, cover with Mod Podge.
2Fold orange chenille stem in half. Fold each side down about 1 inch from first fold. Fold back up about 1 inch from second fold. Twist both sides together. Bend at bottom of twist and glue to side edge of clothespin for leg. Repeat for other leg.
3Find eight long light brown feathers. Glue four to each side about 3 ½ inches from top of clothespin for wings.
4Glue on pheasant feathers pad to cover tops of legs and ends of wings.
5Glue smaller light brown feathers to top part of clothespin to form head.
6Using templates, cut shapes from foam. Glue wattle, beak and eyes to head.
7Glue three pieces each of red, yellow and orange feathers to back side of clothespin for tail.
