Project Instructions

  • 1
Wrap yarn around the foam ball, making sure there are no gaps. Every few wraps, tighten and twist the yarn to prevent it from slipping off the ball. Continue until the entire ball is covered. Cut yarn and tuck the end under the wrapped yarn. Glue in place with a small drop of tacky glue.
  • 2
Cut a 16”" piece of yarn, matching the color you wrapped the foam ball in. Fold yarn in half and tie a knot 1-1/4" from the top loop. Thread the yarn ends through the 3 buttons. Tie a knot at the bottom of the buttons.
  • 3
Attach the two strands of yarn under the buttons to the wrapped ornament by weaving the strands in and out at the top of the ornament and tie a secure knot under the buttons. Weave in loose ends and secure in place with a small drop of tacky glue under the buttons.
  • 4
For a knitting ornament, insert double-pointed knitting needles in the strands of yarn on the front of the ornament. Slip wooden beads over ends of needles. For a crochet ornament, insert a crochet hook in the strands of yarn.
