Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo French Country Throw
The ripples in this throw remind us of the French countryside and picnicking in the park.
- Time:4 hours
1Use a gauge of 1 ripple peal (3-1/4 inch) from peak to peak and 7 rows (5-1/2 inch) in pattern to crochet a throw that measures 45 inch wide x 55 inch long. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle or hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle or hook. Download template for abbreviations not explained elsewhere.
dc2tog = [Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch or chain, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops] 2 times, yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.
•Throw is made in a ripple pattern which consists of a series of 5-dc peaks and 4-dc2tog valleys. You may need to work several rows before the ripple is clearly visible.
•To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch. Proceed with new color. Cut old color.
