Project Instructions

Use a gauge of 25 sts and 26 rows (4 inch) in cable stitch to knit a cozy that measures about 6 inch wide x 10 inch long. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you less stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle or hook; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle or hook. Special stitches and techniques:
M1 / Make 1 (Increase) = Lift strand between needles to left-hand needle and knit strand through the back loop, twisting the stitch to prevent a hole in the fabric.
Cable (uses 4 sts) = Slip next 2 sts onto cable needle and hold in front of work, K2 from the left needle, K2 from the cable needle.
