Rit Spray Dyed Onesies
The many colors and stencils at A.C. Moore make it easy to create customized, colorful baby onesies.
- Time:1 hour
1Project time does not include the time for neither washing nor drying the onesie near the end of this project.
2Cover work area with newspaper or a plastic table cover.
3Take a White onesie and place cardboard inside to prevent the dye form bleeding through.
4Place stencil mask on the onesie.
5Shake Rit dye bottles before using. Mix 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) dye color of your choice with hot water in a spray bottle. Test color by spraying on a paper towel. If too light, add more dye. Too dark, add more water.
6Wearing rubber gloves, spray dye over stencil until you achieve the desired level of saturation.
7Remove cardboard and stencil mask and rinse onesie. Wash fully once more and let dry.
