Project Instructions

  • 1
Project time does not include drying time for the spray paint.
  • 2
Find a well-ventilated area in which to work. Cover nearby items with drop cloths or old sheets to protect them from the spray paint mist.
  • 3
Clean the inside and outside of the jar(s), using glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
  • 4
Cover the outside of the jar(s) with paper and tape to prevent overspray onto the object.
  • 5
Hold the can of mirror paint 10 to 12 inch from the surface. Press the spray button and spray a light coat on the inside of the jar.
  • 6
While the paint is still wet, spritz the painted side with the water/vinegar solution and blot the inside of the jar with a paper towel to achieve the distressed look.
  • 7
Repeat steps 5 and 6 to until you achieve your desired look.
  • 8
    Let dry completely.
  • 9
Optional - for a more distressed look, add very light coat of Flat Black after step 6 and blot with a paper towel.
  • 10
Tie the burlap ribbon around the neck of each jar into a bow. Trim excess.
