Stitch Studio by Nicole Mystic Wave Wedge Hat
You don't need to be Scottish to pull off this tam o'shanter inspired knit cap.
Use a gauge of 16 sts x 32 rows (4") in Garter st to knit a shawl that measures approximately 22" in circumference x 9-3/4" high. Be sure to check your gauge. If it takes you fewer stitches to match the gauge, try using a smaller size needle; if it takes you more stitches, try a larger size needle.

1Note: This hat it is worked flat worked flat incorporating short rows to create a series of connected wedges. You will always have 32 stitches on your needle, so when you are done with wedge 1, you would then repeat the same instructions as you used on wedge 1 for wedge 2 and so on. When all eight wedges are complete, you will then bind off and sew the seam for the hat.
