Summer Reading Fun: One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish
From there to here, from here to there -- funny things are everywhere! Keep kids reading and laughing with this easy fish bowl craft. Perhaps make one fish red, maybe make one blue. You'll have fun no matter what you do!
A child who reads opens a world of learning experiences. Don't close the book on this opportunity simply because school's out for summer. Encourage your kids to keep reading. Then, help them make crafts based on those books. Oh, the places your kids will go!
- Level:beginner (5 + up)
- Time:1 hour + drying time
1Make Fish Bowl: Use the compass to make part of a 10 inch diameter circle on the Spring Blue cardstock. (Do not complete the circle across the top.) Draw a line straight across the top, about an inch above the semi circle. Draw left parentheses to connect the left side of the semi circle to the line. Then draw a right parentheses to connect the right side of the semi circle to the line. Draw a small straight line across the bottom of the fish bowl. Cut out along all your drawn lines. Turn cardstock over. Color in the top of the fish bowl with the White marker. Color the bottom with Yellow marker and seaweed with the Green marker.
2Add Fish: Download and print project template. Follow its instructions. Glue fish so they are inside the fish bowl. Create water bubbles near each fish with Iridescent glitter glue. Let the glitter glue dry.
