Project Instructions

  • 1
Trace the mason jar insert to the lid on a piece of cardstock and cut out. Print “"I'm Thankful..." for…” on the circle. Place atop the insert and fit inside the band.
  • 2
Cut out leaf shapes from the assorted colors of cardstock. Have each family member, on their own or with assistance, write or draw what they are thankful for on each leaf. Glue the leaves to craft sticks and place into the jar. Place the lid on the jar.
  • 3
Glue strips of ribbon around the jar and place the stickers on the ribbon.
  • 4
After dinner, take turns passing the jar around the table, choosing a leaf and reading aloud what it says. Families can also make a game of this activity, by choosing a stick from the jar and trying to guess who wrote which sentiment.
