Thanksgiving Glass Blocks

1Happy Turkey Day Glass Block:
Step A: Trace a pilgrim hat shape on Black chalkboard cardstock and cut it out. Cut a hat band out of fall cardstock. Glue the pieces together and then glue it on front of the glass block. Place the turkey sticker on the opposite side.
Step B: Fill the inside of the glass block with assorted mini pumpkins and acorns. Decorate the top of the glass block by gluing the leaves, pumpkins, berries and acorns.
Step C: Tie a bow and glue to the right top of the glass block.
2Metallic Autumn Glass Block:
Step A: Follow the instructions for the Minc Foil Applicator machine (or watch the video near the top of this page) and insert cover folder with the Rose Gold foil and design of your choice. Remove contents from folder after it exits machine.
Step B: Apply a thin coat if Mod Podge to the front of the glass block, and then place the foil design on top of it and let dry.
Step C: Choose a 2-½" oak leaf shape and trace three of them onto the foil pan with a marker. Apply drops of ink to applicator felt and then rub onto the foil over the leaf shape. Allow to dry and then cut out the leaf shape. Glue the leaves to the front of glass block, and then glue acorns to finish design.
Step D: Slide the lights through the plastic top of the glass block and secure the top on the block.
Step E: Cut the Silver glitter cardstock to fit the back of the glass block and glue it into place. Run washi tape around the outside edge of glass block to finish.
3Give Thanks Glass Block:
Step A: Cut the vellum to fit the glass block, and then arrange and stick the letters to the vellum.
Step B: Run the ink blending tool back and forth over the vellum until covered. When dry, carefully remove the letters.
Step C: Carefully remove the back of the vinyl. Place the vinyl pumpkin design on the vellum, rub to it adhere, and then carefully remove the top, clear sheet.
Step D: Slide the vellum into the block, and then arrange the lights in the block as well. Cut an Orange piece of cardstock to fit the back and glue to secure.
Step E: Tie a bow and use floral tape to secure the bow and picks together, and then glue it to the top of the block.
