The Kunin Group Felt Fireworks Banner
Liven up your patriotic party with a fireworks banner!
- Time:2 hours + dry time
1Apply Stiffy to the 12" x 18" piece of Royal Blue felt and let dry, following package instructions.
2In a well-ventilated area, spray U-S-A letters with Design Master ColorTool in Flat White, let dry. (If you can, this is a great way to use up letters from leftover projects!)
3Measure and cut a 9" by 9" by 6" triangle from a piece of 8-1/2" x 14" plain White paper. Trace and cut 3 pennants on Royal Blue stiff felt using All Surface White Pencil. Measure three 1" wide strips on Red glitter felt, cut with pinking shears, then cut each strip in half with straight scissors to create 6 strips. Attach Red strips to back of each pennant along the 9" lengths with tacky glue, let dry.
4Measure and cut three 4" by 4" squares from Red glitter felt, White glitter felt and Sky Blue felt. Create fringe by cutting 3" long slits in each square. Attach White, then Sky Blue, then Red fringe in a circle in the center of each pennant with tacky glue. Set something heavy on top and let dry.
5Use pinking shears to trace and cut three 4" stars from the Sky Blue pieces of felt contained within the package. Attach to center of each firework with tacky glue and outline in Silver glitter glue, let dry. Attach U-S-A letters to the center of each star with tacky glue, cover with Iridescent glitter glue and add three Red rhinestones, let dry.
6Measure and cut three 1" circles from White glitter felt, attach to bottom point of each pennant with tacky glue, outline in Silver glitter glue, let dry. Attach a Red tinsel pom pom to the center of each White circle.
7Cut a piece of ribbon that is 36" long. Attach three pennants to the ribbon with tacky glue, leaving a 3" space in between. Attach White buttons to top corners of each pennant.
