Project Instructions

  • 1
    Fair Isle Sweater Tree:
Step A: Cut one 12-1/2”" piece of the 2-1/2" ribbon. Apply Fabric-Tac glue to the ribbon and stick it to the foam cone, vertically, overlapping the other end of the ribbon at the top of the cone. Use pins to hold in place while it sets.
Step B: Cut three additional pieces of the 2-½"” ribbon, each 15"” long. You will need to cut off the top 2-¼"”. Attach these pieces the same as in step A.
Step C: Cut four strips of Red ribbon and glue them to the foam cone, filling in-between the printed ribbon.
Step D: Using the project template, cut out one Red and one White star from the felt, and cut out the details from the White felt star. Glue a craft pick in between the two felt stars, and then glue the White star over the top of the Red star. Insert star in top of tree.
Step E: Using the pom pom maker and yarns, make four different pom poms. Attach each to the top of the tree, allowing two on each side to dangle.
Step F: Embellish your tree with items from the kit that you hot glue on.

    Ugly Christmas T-Shirt Snowman Tree:
Step A: Cut open the t-shirt at the arm. Place the foam cone on the opened t-shirt and trace the shape of cone. Cut out the foam cone shape from the t-shirt and glue the material to the cone using the Fabric-Tac glue. Overlap the back seam and glue to hold. Glue the excess material to the bottom of cone.
Step B: Glue paper doily to the front center of the tree. Then, glue a set of large snowman eyes, nose, and mouth buttons to the doily to make a snowman's face. Glue snowflakes around the doily.
Step C: Glue White pom poms around the tree and then glue small snowman faces from the kit on to the pom poms.
Step D: Hot glue the bow to the top of the tree and a snowflake in the center. Hot glue additional items from the kit for additional decorations.

    Gingerbread Ugly Sweater Christmas Tree:
Step A: Slide the arm of a sweater down over the top of the foam cone. The wrist/cuff end should be at the top. Glue 1-½"” of material from the sweater under the bottom of foam cone.
Step B: Cut out two pieces of a basic star shape from the cardstock. Glue the stars together with the wood craft pick in the center, extending out the bottom. Insert star into top of tree.
Step C: Cut a 15”" piece of yarn and tie it around the top of the tree to gather the sweater. Glue a decoration in center of the bow.
Step D: Use Fabric-Tac glue to create the scalloped icing-like effect with the yarn.
Step E: Hot glue items from the kit around the tree for decoration.
