Washi Tape Lizard Poster
No bugs necessary! Some of our favorite washi tape projects are designed exclusively for kids, like our Washi Tape Lizard Poster! It's like having a real pet lizard, without actually having a real pet lizard. A perfect craft project for kids fascinated with reptiles and parents who just aren't!
- Level:ages 6 + up
- Time:1 hour
1Download the template and then print it out on both the Snowcap cardstock and on the Nutmeg cardstock.
2Cover the template on the Snowcap cardstock with strips of any washi tape you want. Then, cut the lizard shape out of the Nutmeg cardstock. (Using the craft knife to do this will give you a smooth edge -- but kids, be careful of the pointed tip!)
3Use the glue stick to attach the Nutmeg cardstock with the cut-out lizard on it to the washi tape covered lizard on the Snowcap cardstock. Try to line them up so they match.
4Cut around the edges of the Nutmeg cardstock/poster with the decorative-edge zipper scissors and attach stickers/embellishments to spell out LIZARD (or whatever you want) at the bottom of the cardstock.
5Lastly, cut a 12 inch piece of ribbon with the regular scissors. Glue one end of the ribbon to the right, top corner of the back of the poster and the other to left, top corner of the back of the poster to make a hanger.
6Leaping lizards! Show us your finished project! #ACMooreInspired
