Wilton Sweet Swirls Coil Cakes
You'll be the star of snack time when you roll up and make the Wilton Sweet Swirls Coil Cakes! Just use the Wilton Coil Cakes Mini Cake Pan for baking, then add tasty Treat Filling, Treat Glaze and Sprinkles to make them irresistible. 1Project time does not include neither the baking nor the cooling time for the cakes. Supplies are provided as if making all three different kinds of snack cakes seen in pictures. You may need to adjust the amount of supplies slightly if only making one or two kinds of the snack cakes pictured.
2Prepare mini cake pan by spraying with Bake Easy! Non-Stick Spray. Prepare cake batter following recipe directions. Bake cakes in mini cake pan. While cakes bake, use scissors to cut a parchment rectangle for each treat, 3-1/2 inch x 6 inch.
3Remove cakes from oven. Use knife to immediately trim edges off cake for easy rolling. Place cake on parchment rectangle, then dust cake lightly with cocoa powder.
4Gently roll cake with parchment to form a coil shape. Let cool, parchment seam down.
5Gently unroll cake. Use spatula to gently spread treat filling on top of cake. Reroll cake.
6Depending on which recipe(s) you are making, heat chocolate or vanilla treat glaze according to package directions. Place cakes, bottom side down, on cooling grid over parchment paper-covered cookie sheet.
7Decorate, using the instructions below and photos for reference. When cakes have been decorated, let them cool in a refrigerator to set, about 5 to 10 minutes. Turtle Crunch Coil Cakes: Use a cut disposable decorating bag and chocolate glaze to cover one half of each cake. Tap to smooth and remove excess glaze. Immediately sprinkle with turtle crunch. Rainbow Striped Coil Cakes: Use a cut disposable decorating bag and vanilla glaze to drizzle over entire cake. Immediately sprinkle with rows of colored sugar in striped pattern. Happy Hearts Coil Cakes: Use a cut disposable decorating bag and chocolate glaze to cover cakes. Tap to smooth and remove excess glaze. Immediately position jumbo hearts.
