Wilton Candy-Coated Apple Football Treats

About as healthy of a football snack as you’'re going to get!

Project Instructions

    Project time does not include time for the candy to set.

    Wash, dry and cut apples into wedges.

    Soak apples in lemon-lime soda for 10 to 15 minutes; remove from soda and dry completely. Melt light cocoa or milk chocolate and White (or vanilla) candy melts, separately, according to package directions. Use tongs to dip slices into melted light cocoa candy. Tap to smooth and remove excess candy. Place wedges on parchment paper-covered cake board. Chill until firm.

    Use melted White (or vanilla) candy in cut parchment bag to pipe laces and stripes onto each dipped treat.
