Wilton Cinnamon Streusel Muffins

We looked all morning and all we got were these crumbly muffins. But we are totally OK with that because they are delicious!

Project Instructions

    Prepare muffins. Spray cavities with vegetable spray or line with baking cups. In bowl, combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Melt three tablespoons butter and set aside. In another bowl, whisk 1 slightly beaten egg, 1/2 cup milk and the melted butter until well blended. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing only until moistened. Divide batter into muffin cups.

    Make topping. Combine 1/4 cup flour, 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Cut in 2 tablespoons butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over muffins.

    Bake muffins. Bake 16-18 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely before serving. Note: project time does not include this baking and cooling time.

    Makes about 6 muffins.
