Wilton Easy Layers Ice Cream Cake
Spoil yourself with an easy-to-make, layered ice cream cake!

1Project time does not include the time needed neither to bake nor cool cakes.
2Prepare batter following recipe directions. Fill each pan in set with approximately 3/4 cup of batter. Bake and cool five cake layers according to pan directions. Wrap cake layers with plastic wrap. Place in freezer until ready to assemble cake.
3Line the four 6 inch pans with plastic wrap. Place 12 oz. of first flavor of ice cream in one of pans. Repeat with other three flavors and other three pans. Use spatula to level ice cream at top. Cover top with plastic wrap. Place pans in freezer until ready to assemble cake.
4Place one of the cake layers on cake plate. Use tip 10, cut disposable decorating bag and decorator icing to pipe a ring around top edge of cake. Position one ice cream layer inside ring on cake top. Pipe another tip 10 ring of icing if needed. Repeat with three more layers of cake and ice cream. Top with final cake layer.
5Use spatula and decorator icing to ice cake. Work in small sections at a time and place cake in freezer at various points to prevent ice cream from melting.
6Drizzle cake with chocolate syrup. Prepare whipped icing mix according to package directions. Use tip 1M, cut disposable decorating bag and whipped icing to pipe swirls on cake top. Sprinkle cake with chopped nuts. Position maraschino cherries. Freeze cake until ready to serve.
