Wilton Make a Colorful Cake in a Jar

1Project time does not include the time needed neither to bake nor cool cake, nor make the pudding.
Once you have steps 2 through 4 down, feel free to try this recipe with different shapes and colors!
2Prepare pudding mix according to package directions.
3Prepare batter following recipe directions. Tint 3/4 of the batter Orange and remaining batter Yellow. (Tip: combine Lemon Yellow with Golden Yellow for Yellow shown.) Fold a strip of aluminum foil 11-1/2 inch long and place in pan to form a dam, 1/4 of the way from short side. Pour Orange batter into 3/4 of the pan length and Yellow batter into remaining 1/4 of pan. Bake and cool cake. Trim cake to 1 inch high. Use straight edge of A blossom cut-out to cut one Orange blossom for each treat. Use straight edge of F round cut-out to cut out center of Orange blossom and cut one Uellow center for each treat. Insert Yellow center in Orange flower.
4Prepare whipped icing according to package directions. Place icing and pudding, separately, into decorating bags fitted with tip 12. Pipe a small amount of pudding into bottom of Mason jar. Pipe a layer of whipped topping on top of pudding. Position blossom cake. Continue adding layers of pudding and whipped topping to top of jar. Close jar and tie ribbon bow around lid. Chill until ready to serve.
