Wilton Mini Hearts Valentine's Day Cakes

There’s no tastier way to say I love you than with cake. Well, maybe with candy and sprinkle-topped cake. Try these Valentine’s Day mini cakes for that special someone in your life.

Project Instructions

    Regardless of which of these treats you make, first prepare the pan and then make either your mini cake (or brownies) following the recipe and pan (or mold) instructions. Cool the baked goods on the cooling grid. Then, go on to create your favorite of mini treat!

    Candy Drizzled Mini Heart Cakes:
    Step A: Combine Red, Pink and White nonpareils on a plate and temporarily set aside. Melt White Candy Melts following package directions; place in decorating or parchment bag.
    Step B: Cut bag; fill in center heart and pipe drizzles down side of cake.
    Step C: Sprinkle nonpareil mixture in center of heart.
    Step D: Chill until set, about 15-20 minutes.

    4-1/2 cups of Batter and 1 bag of Candy Melts will make about two dozen mini cakes.

    Heart on Heart Nonpareil Mini Cakes:
    Step A: Combine Pink, Red, and White nonpareils on a plate and temporarily set aside.
    Step B: Use spatula to add icing. Roll in nonpareil mixture.
    Step C: Lightly ice top of cakes.
    Step D: Fill decorating bag with tip 21 and White icing.
    Step E: Pipe two shells to form heart shape on top of mini cakes.

    4-1/2 cups of Batter will make about 3 dozen mini cakes.

    Mini Brownie Valentine Hearts:
    Step A: Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shade: Pastel Pink: 2 cups White icing + 1P
    Step B: Place icing in disposable decorating bag fitted with tip 10.
    Step C: Spatula ice the sides of the brownie with chocolate icing. Immediately roll in chocolate jimmies. Pipe two tip 10 shells to form heart in center of brownie. Position arrow icing decoration.

    3 cups of Batter will make about 2 dozen brownies.
