1Make dough. Preheat oven to 350ºF. In bowl, combine 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. In a large bowl, beat 2 sticks softened, unsalted butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar and 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and, if desired, Orange icing color; mix well. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; mix until just combined.
2Bake cookies. Drop by tablespoonfuls or cookie scoop onto ungreased cookie pan. Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool 3 minutes on pan; remove and cool completely on cooling rack. Note: project time does not include this baking and cooling time.
3Presentation. In microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup White chocolate chips on 50% Power, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely melted. Drizzle melted chocolate over cookies.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
