1 Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint portions Gray, Ivory, and Black, and set aside.
Prepare batter following recipe directions. Divide batter in half and tint portions Copper and Yellow. (Combine Copper with Red for the Copper shown. Combine Golden Yellow with Orange for the Yellow shown.)
Bake cakes separately and cool completely. From Copper cake, use smallest round (1-3/4 inch) cutter to cut shapes. From Yellow cake, cut strips, each 2 inch x 3/8 inch. You will need seven strips for each pop.
2Place Copper cake circle at the bottom of the pop container. Using tip 12 and Gray icing, cut disposable decorating bag and pipe a swirl from back edge, following the curve of the container, then filling in the center.
3Place seven Yellow cake strips around edges of treat pop container. Using tip 12 and Ivory icing, cut disposable decorating bag to fill in center, continuing to pipe a mound on top. Use spatula to shape into pencil point.
4Using tip 4 and Black icing, cut disposable and pipe a tight swirl on top.
