Wilton Pumpkin Spice Baked Donuts

Project Instructions

    Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare doughnut pan with non-stick spray. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. In a small bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, and butter. Add that to the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Fill each pan cavity approximately 2/3 full.

    Bake 6-8 minutes or until tops of doughnuts spring back when touched. Cool doughnuts in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely. Note: project time does not include this baking or cooling time.

    Top doughnuts. In medium microwave-safe bowl, combine Pumpkin Spice Candy Melts and whipping cream. Microwave at 50% power 1 minute; stir. Microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melts are almost melted. Stir thoroughly until mixture is smooth. Dip tops of cooled doughnuts into candy; shake off excess. Let set 10 to 15 minutes.

    Drizzle doughnuts. Melt White Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag. Cut small point off of decorating bag. Drizzle tops of doughnuts with melted White candy.
    Makes 12 treats.
