Wilton Smiling Spider Mini Cakes

Make all kinds of creepy, edible characters for Halloween!

Project Instructions

    Project time does not include time needed neither to bake and cool cakes.

    Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool mini cakes in silicone mold supported by cookie sheet. Unmold cakes. Use knife to cut off stems from cakes.
  • 3
    Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint portion Green and a small amount Black. (Tip: combine Leaf Green with Lemon Yellow for green shown.) Use spatula and Green icing to ice cakes smooth.
  • 4
    For legs, cut six candy strings to 2-1/2 inch long. Insert three strings into each side of cake. Position candy eyeballs on top of cake. Position White candy drops for teeth.
