Wilton Valentine's Day Breakfast

Project Instructions

    Bake muffins.
    Step A: Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray mini muffin pan with vegetable pan spray.
    Step B: In a large bowl, combine 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; set aside. In medium bowl, whisk together one egg, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, two masked ripe bananas, and 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Stir into flour mixture just until combined.
    Step C: Divide mixture into prepared pan cavities, filling almost full. Sprinkle muffins with additional chocolate chips, if desired. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until firm to the touch.
    Step D: Cool muffins in pan 5 minutes. Transfer to cooling grid to cool completely.

    Make donuts.
    Step A: Preheat oven to 425 degrees Farenheit. Spray pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    Step B: In a bowl, sift together 2 cups cake flour, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and 1 teaspoon salt. Add 3/4 cup buttermilk, 2 lightly beaten eggs and 2 tablespoons melted butter until just combined.
    Step B: Fill each donut cavity until it is about 2/3 full. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until top of the donuts springs back in pan. Let cool for 4 to 5 minutes in pan before removing.
    Step C: Mix 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon corn syrup. Microwave on 50% power until completely melted. Stir in 1 teaspoon hot water until glaze is thick and smooth. (Add another teaspoon water if glaze is too thick.)
    Step D: Place donuts on cooling grid over parchment-covered surface. Immediately pour glaze on donuts. Immediately add sprinkles jimmies.

    Prepare french toast.
    Step A: Cut bread into heart shapes using the 4-1/8" heart cookie cutter.
    Step B: Make french toast following recipe instructions.
    Step C: Cut a piece of butter into the shape of heart using 1-1/2" heart cookie cutter and place on top of french toast.

    Add fruit.
    Step A: Wash and dry raspberries.
    Step B: Arrange fruit in the letter E.
