Project Instructions

  • 1
Cover the Styrofoam wreath using about 1/2 of the skein of super bulky yarn. Glue yarn to hold in place. Set aside. Tip: Some yarns hide the ends inside the ends of the skein. This makes it easy to pull out the yarn as needed. But some ends are found under the labels. In this case, roll off a few yards, do not cut, then roll this amount around the middle of the skein and work with this wrapping the Styrofoam wreath. When needed, roll off more and again wrap around center and use to cover the wreath.

Cut a strip from one of your pieces of cardstock that is 1-1/2”" x 12"”. Score on both sides using the scoring board. Score at the inch and ½" inch increments. After scored crease the folds by accordion style folding. Glue together at the ends to form a tube. Punch two of the 2” scalloped circles with a different piece of cardstock. Carefully slide the paper tube flat on to the table to form medallion. Glue a 2"” circle, in the center, on front and back of the paper medallion. Embellish center with stickers and hearts. Set aside. (If you need to see a video on making medallions, watch the one near the top of this page.)

Download and print the project template, then cut out the arrow point and ends using the cardstock noted on it. Trim end pieces of the template pieces with the Silver glitter washi tape. Cut the dowel down to 11"”. Then use it to make a hole through the top of the 3-½"” glitter heart for the dowel to slide through. Wrap Silver glitter washi tape around the dowel. Secure end with glue to hold. Slide dowel through the heart. Glue the paper heart and ends to the dowel to create the arrow. Glue the glitter heart with arrow on to bottom left of yarn wreath. Use a floral craft pin to secure arrow to heart. Embellish the center of the glitter heart using any of the sticker embellishments. Glue the medallion to the left of the glitter heart over top of a section of the arrow.

Add felt flowers to the wreath with glue. Follow our instructions or make your own:
Jelly Roll Flower: Cut two piece of felt that are 1"” x 6"” each. Place one on top of the other and roll to the end. Glue to secure ends.
Looped Flower: Cut a piece of felt 2-1/2”" x 6”". Fold in half lengthwise and cut 1/4”" slits a 1/2" long from beginning to end. Roll up and glue to secure the end. This flower can also be made with two colors together.
Felt Rose: Cut a 3"” x 3"” piece of felt. Cut this into a spiral that will begin at the outside edge and ends in the center of the felt square with a circle as the center. Roll the spiral starting at the outside end and continue to roll into the center. Glue the center piece under the rolled rose to secure. Use the pearl corsage pin to pin roses to the wreath.
